This is the first of ten videos on the Australian Tax Story. Where Richard Trudgen explains the word ‘tax’ and how taxes are compulsory contributions to government revenue – levied by the government on workers’ income, business and company profits and also goods and services (GST). The video looks at the European history of tax and its existence in the Bible and compares traditional Yolngu economic systems with the Balanda tax system. It also looks at how much Federal government money comes from personal, company and tobacco taxes.

Video Number 2 has been taken offline as it needs additional editing. Why Warriors produced this series in-house with no external funding. We did it as an exercise to show what we were capable of producing. Since we produced these in June 2018, we have not had the resources to edit Video Number Two.
